How many points should you make per trade? How many pips or points do professional day-traders make? How many pips should be targeted per day? How many points is reasonable? Say, you're spread betting, how many points should you be targeting to make? Now this is subjective. Someone who is day trading or even scalping will have a very different target to someone who is swing trading on a longer term basis. The lower the timeframe, the lower the chance that you will be making a lot of points profit. However, the number of points per trade can be looked in a couple of different ways. For one you have to take into account the losers and the trades that won't hit our target. OK.
