Basic of Stock Market For Beginner 3 | Basic Terms of Stock Market | Stock Dictionary


so in todays video we will know the basic terms of stock market which are most commonly used in stock market. so lets start with the bull market.

Bull Market : when the price of shares is rising and there is an expectation that the price of the share will increase in future, then we call it a bull market.

Bear Market : when the price of the share are falling and another expectation is that the price of the share will fall in future, then we call it a bear market.

Sideways Market : when the price of the share is neither falling nor rising and is trading within a range, then we called it a sideways market.

Trend : when the movement off the stock is in a particular direction then it is called the trend of that stock. for example if the movement of the stock is in upward direction then we will call it a uptrend and vise-versa.

Intraday : intraday mean to buy share and sell on the same day before market close.

Delivery : when we buy and hold any share for more than 1 day, then we call it delivery.

Liquidity : liquidity tells us the number of buying and selling in a stock.

Volatility : volatility is a measure that tells us how much the price of a stock fluctuates in a sustain period .

OHLC : o means the opening price of the candle , means high price of the candle in that period , L means the lowest price of the candle in that period and C means closing price of the candle.

IPO : full form of IPO is initial public offer, when a company launches its share in the market for the first time , it launch through IPO .

Portfolio : portfolio is a collection of our financial investments where all our investment are pooled together like bonds, shares, and mutual fund etc.

Ask price : ask price is the price at which a seller is willing to sell a particular stock.

Bid price : bid price mean the price at which a buyer willing to buy a particular stock.

ask bid spared :the difference between ask price and bid price called ask bid spared.
